WARNING! - Nearly 1 million Fisher Price Toys recalled
WARNING! - Approximately 11,000 Suave Kids Bath Kits recalled
THE CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION HAS RECALLED NEARLY ONE MILLION PRODUCTS BECAUSE OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKS THEY POSE TO CHILDREN.
Since
1998, there have been five major recalls on infant and child car
seats---that's 10 million car seats that were thought to be a safety
risk by the manufacturers themselves. These product defects have
resulted in hundreds of reported cases of injuries to infants. Some
of these injuries have been extremely serious, including skull fractures
and concussions.
In December 2000 the CPSC announced the recall of approximately 80,000 Excite Super Speeder II and Viper scooters after reports of finger injuries caused by a defective handlebar design.
Other children's products recalled include cribs marketed as "Little Folks", Barbie Sunglasses and Graco Highchairs.
Many recalled products are still be used. Make sure you protect your children by being aware of recalled products. Check with www.cpsc.gov to obtain a complete list. You can also subscribe to their mailing list for updates.
